hoping to succeed to the position of the father that he believes.

On the way Genshiro meets a hypnotist and he is easily deceived by the hypnotist.

As he arrives in Kyoto, he meets another hypnotist who is stronger than the one he met before,

whose name is "Totenshi" which name is written China, heaven, and person in Kanji.

This story involves these two characters to the end.

Genshiro gets to know Tomiko Hino, the wife of the Shogun, and Oima, the mistress of the

Shogun.

He learns a person believing in "Jodoshu", one of the religous groups in Buddhism, and a

person acquires fencing never be tricked by hypnotists and decides to acquire fencing in Kanto

where it is getting popular after made to see a tremendous illusion by Totenshi,

possessing Oima.

After several years of training, Genshiro comes back to Kyoto, appears that he is a non

hypnotized person, but is not.

Genshiro gets kept in the cage in Oima's premise, and the life in there is too comfortable to

think of breaking out because of gorgeous banquet he is fed everyday that he had never had

before, leaving his hope of becoming the Shogun far behind in his mind.

But he comes back to the poor life in the riverside of Kamogawa, thanks to his friend for

pulling him out of the comfortable cage.

Oima is exiled to an island far from Kyoto for suspicion of cursing the Shogun's family

resulting in his wife's miscarriage of the baby.

Totenshi tries to help her back but he is too weak in front of the Jodoshu believer who is the

watchman appointed by the Shogunate.

Genshiro is hypnotized again, his soul is pulled out and sent to where Oima is while the body

stays in the room of Tomiko's room.

Noticing his soul pulled out, Tomiko starts petting his body.

Then his soul and body crosses, his soul comes to Tomiko, and the body to Oima.

Genshiro's body, remembering Tomiko told him to kill Oima, killed her with a sword.

Tired of getting tricked by Totenshi, Genshiro leaves Kyoto to train his fencing.

Coming back to Kyoto a year later, Genshiro gets tricked again by Totenshi at the aim of

When Genshiro comes to himself, very big war over the successor of the Shogun between

powerful samurai families.

Genshiro and his friend don't know where to go, just pushed somewhere by the big wave of

convulsion.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I felt Genshiro is like me, and many youngster in present time.

Having a dream but can't hold it all the time, I lose it when I find my life is comfortable enough

and don't want to lose it by trying to pursue the dream.

Genshiro is a very very normal person that exists in every era, drifting in life, pushed anywhere

that wind blows, and so I am.
